Re: Door Handles
To explain that the fault is not with the external door handle but electrical components bundled with it might be a stretch. Based on my experience and write-up here - https://www.hondaeforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1514 - this would be a greater struggle because it is essentially the external mechani...

Re: DIY Fix: Door Handle not retracting
I don’t think you’d manage to get it where you need it. The tolerances between the contact surfaces are pretty tight when it’s all fitted, and you can’t really get into the back part.
I’ve tried it in the past, but never got any success
But other than being a bit messy, probably no harm in trying.

Re: DIY Fix: Door Handle not retracting
So in the end, did you manage to fix the non-returning handle or not? Yes, working perfectly following the cleaning & greasing. Mine have never gone "notchy" as you describe; they simply haven't had the necessary spring tension to retract. From the point the first one started to fail ...

Re: Door Handles
I've written up a guide with a DIY fix to non-retracting handles - https://www.hondaeforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1514 At least in my case, nothing actually breaks. It just attracts dirt and grime and needs lubricating. Based on the symptoms the three times I've had this issue (two of which Honda repl...

DIY Fix: Door Handle not retracting
We're probably all aware that the exterior door handles are a common failure point. There's been quite a few forum threads on them. Honda's solution to this is replacing the entire door handle unit, often citing "water ingress" as the cause of the problem - thankfully, this is something th...

Re: Door handle not retracting
Same issue here on the driver's side. Dealer says that it is due to water ingress and as above requires a new handle. Bad news is that they are on back order and won't be available until April. Definitely looks to be a weak spot - hopefully the replacement handles have been modified in some way to p...

Re: In-car charger timer issues
You might know this already, but the times you enter are the "wait" time, not the "charge" time. It's quite unintuitive in my opinion. For example, I want it to charge from 00:30-04:30 during my off-peak tariff, so the time I enter in the car is 04:30-00:30 (i.e. "do not cha...
