Re: Failed brake servo/pedal simulator - a how-to DIY fix

Excellent write up, thanks for taking the time to do so. It's a little disappointing that ECU testing didn't have a jig to test it (I guess its relatively new component/ecu) , it would have been great if they could have replaced the sensors or at least one of them. The pressure sensor should be rela...

Re: Boot Lock Release Switch [Rear Boot Panels Disassembly]

I have used amayama a few times to get genuine parts, sometimes the japanese price is very favourable compared to UK pricing. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/honda/74810t1wa01 They don't seem to have all the newer honda catalogue listings, so even genuine part numbers for the E, most will not look u...

Re: Rear Outside Plastic Boot Cover

Thanks, at least we know which ones to buy if we ever need to take off the trim. Believe me you will need them.... For each time a panel is taken out, especially if it in its place since factory like this one.. at least 2/3 break. This is really disappointing to hear. The clips are identical shape ...

Re: Quick Plug-In Charge Error / Slower DC Charging?

An update... The charger did indeed appear to be back to normal and had behaved for several months. The previously documented speeds were seemingly down to the chargers rather than the car itself, and I was able to undertake several long journeys with many rapid stops (including a marathon between ...

Re: Drain hole blocked

The holes don't even go anywhere. I squirted some concentrated All Purpose Cleaner into them to help remove assumed gunge build up in run off pipes. Once I squirted it in with a syringe, I noticed that it was just going into the scuttle area underneath. I had quite planned to make the wholes larger....

Re: Overspeed notification chime

Am i the only person who has never used cruise control or speed limit in the E? It takes great discipline to stick to the speed limit - if you try it without relying on the electronics, you will have a happier journey for sure. The more you use the gadgets, the more you will get annoyed with the car...

Re: Since opening bonnet yesterday app says its open still

Just the app being crap. The bonnet is trickier to close than normal due to the double latch and thin frame around the charge port. However, the car will warn you if the bonnet isn't shut. As long as the car isn't warning you, I would ignore the app.

Re: App says bonnet is open when not

It is quite common for the app to pick up an out-of-date information package from the car. I think the car sends it's information off to honda servers when you turn it off, which tends to be before you lock it. In the past you needed to click the refresh button in the app. This would signal honda se...

Re: Ongoing 12v issues

Noticed on a short run today it does an odd thing, if you drive with a fully charged 12v the e won't put any charge across it, so my accessory socket voltmeter says 12.5v steady, running How long do you think it took to start charging the 12v on your short run? I have observed an entire 30minute co...

Re: Ongoing 12v issues

So the BT monitor is on and the handle thoroughly greased. It moves better 100% and seems normal but the lights do odd, inconsistent things when I lock the car (staying on for several seconds being one) I can leave my phone on charge overnight monitoring the 12v as the car is close enough Noticed o...
