Re: Honda E registered in 2024 - how old ?
L=2020 M=2021 N=2022 P=2023 R=2024 (doubt they made any in 2024? who knows). I don't think its right to call it model year, since every country has its own registration dates/letters (America always seems to be selling next years car now, never understood that one lol). I believe its simply the cale...

Re: Pre-condition button on remote does nothing
If I do it from the keyfob, the method I use is: 1) press lock , the indicators flash 3 times. 2) After the 3 flashes have completed, press and hold the climate button on the fob. 3) After 3 seconds of holding the button, the lights will flash 6 times (2 lots of 3), you can then let go of the button...

Re: Pre-condition button on remote does nothing
I seem to recall from the app, the preheat settings are low med high (18 20 22degrees C), and the preheat will only work for a maximum of 30 minutes. I do not think it runs the aircon - the problem with this is that without aircon, preheating in the morning tends to actually add more moisture to in...

Re: Pre-condition button on remote does nothing
There are three temperatures to the preconditioning - Its not very effective at removing heat from the heat soaked cabin in summer because the car is not moving, even after 30mins of pre conditioning to the lowest tempt - it will only make the car bearable (until you start moving, then the capacity ...

Re: How range is affected
It is science! Science with many variable and uncontrollable external factors along with a lack of repeatability. Hot and cold weather I feel is poorly understood, the actual ambient temperature itself does not affect the range as much/quickly as people think. The battery pack is warmed when needed,...

Re: Random Honda e questions
I believe that they are one and the same PCD, but since the history of 114.3 PCD is based in imperial (4.5inch), modern PCDs are listed in MM, so gets listed as 114mm retrospectively. even if there are 2 different schools of thought on the actual PCD, I suspect that 114 and 114.3 are interchangeable...

Re: Random Honda e questions
If you do change tyres, do not make the mistake I did of going for higher rated XL tyres. I went for michelin Primacy 4 with XL sidewall rating (rated A for rolling resistance, cant recall the load index off hand). Whatever benefit I got in mileage (id say maybe .1 or .2 miles/kwh) is not worth the ...

You do have the benefit of warmer weather in Portugal!
I should rephrase, I've never seen more than 40kw charge rate in the UK lol.

Re: New joiner...and question about charging please
If your wife is happy to open the bonnet, apply a jump pack and can do so safely and without embarrassment, then no need to replace the battery. Otherwise, for the £89 at halfords, it makes sense to replace the 12v battery. Most of them must have gone flat on the boat over at some point. Mine only t...
