Re: Rattle - vicinity of A pillar / roof lining

I've noticed the sunblind can start to open purely from repeated acceleration, and I have to give it a gentle nudge closed to avoid a rattle sometimes.

Re: Door rub

Sounds very suspicious - there should be plenty of clearance? I once observed a car open the door in high winds. The inertia of the door hitting the limit of its open travel was enough to deform the hinges for this rubbing to occur. It is unlikely the door would have worked itself loose, or for the ...

Re: Depreciation

Part of me is not surprised, the car has limited utility compared to its high price (compared to ice or even other small EVs). The depreciation is still bad regardless, but I think a big chunk of that is the realistic market rate adjustment for such a car. £38k for a small hatchback with a tiny boot...

Re: Headlight adjustment as people flash me!

Now that you mention it, the civic sport has a different type of LED headlight, and that also does not do the beam adjust process at the start. The civic headlight has a handful of LEDs (about 5) each with their own reflector, rather than single projector lens like the E. I have to say the civic hea...

Re: Headlight adjustment as people flash me!

Search google for 'Honda Headlight Adjustment' and look at the images - it shows how to place the screw driver like a pinion against the serrated disc. Its not a beautiful meshing action but it does work. I'm fairly certain , on the drivers side at least, I had a quick adjustment one way and the oth...

Re: Headlight adjustment as people flash me!

You seem to be of the mistaken belief that your headlights are aligned correctly, when clearly they are not. I suspect most dealers do not fully follow the PDI guidelines, as I found my rubber chassis bungs in my glove box , and my headlight aim is far too low... As far as I could tell, the metal di...

Re: Honda e ICE Simulator

Its just a tech demo as mentioned. Its unlikely to be available for the e (the app store is dead - no aquarium anymore). The fact its just a screen placed in front shows its never going to come to the e (otherwise why develop it off-platform?) I do think the makers are on to something. Driving the e...

Re: 12V battery issues

The sensor on the negative post is a current sensor. It can tell, when applying charging voltage (14.4v to 14.8v), what current the battery is drawing. The sensor is not temperature as far as I know. As the battery reaches is chemical full charge, the current that goes through the battery tapers off...

Re: Failed brake servo/pedal simulator - a how-to DIY fix

Someone needs to get hold of the sensors inside the valve block, and then the repair whilst still a pain in the arse is monumentally cheaper than an entire unit. The translated honda recall wording from Japan doesn't entirely explain the sensors failing... I guess as soon as we start seeing repairs ...
