I have the same experience. Apple Maps works really good (good precision and it shows up on the front display like the built in navigator).
Google maps and Waze, are laggy.

Yeah, I have the same sort of distortion on the back camera you have. It is quite bad indeed, my parents have a 2020 Mitsubishi Outland PHEV and their top down view/360 camera is flawless all around the car.

My Apple CarPlay stoped playing audio and mic for phone call and Siri interactions (Spotify still works).
I’ve cried re connecting/parings and cable, no difference.

I think it was due to my phone updating to IOS 15.2.1
