Re: Recall software update

A guy on one of the Facebook groups is reporting that the V2 super chargers still throw at error on the E, post update. Not good.

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK

Half an hour? That’s what it was booked in for. I arrived at 8 and left by 9, but they didnmt start instantly and they left me to finish my second coffee.

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK and appears to work

I had the patch installed this morning and immediately played Russian Roulette with a Tesla charger. See viewtopic.php?p=17335#p17335. Full charge and no warnings, errors, red lights, etc.

Re: Recall software update: it seems to work

Having an hour or so to spare and a need to actually use some en route chargers over the summer, I got the patch put onto my 22-plate Advance this morning and then went to the nearest "Open" Tesla charger to try it. I said to the dealer that I'd be back if there was trouble. It worked, per...

Re: BP Pulse "Hypercharger"

Yep, it was rather annoying that I literally got home from this trip to learn of the update. Mine's booked in for next Friday (eight days' time) so we can compare notes.

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK

"If you look at what's possible on the tesla side, they own the entire stack" They don't really: it's Linux, specifically Ubuntu Linux, with their own stuff in and on top of it. That means that, for example, they don't support AirPlay or Android Auto, and you are restricted to (absent a va...

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK

"Now if only Honda had the foresight to allow the infotainment computer to issue its own module updates" There's an extensive literature on how weak is the security of in-car networks: pop "canbus security" into Google Scholar and you'll see it's been a fruitful source of PhDs fo...

Re: Power system error - Need help

It's your lucky day: we've all been struggling with this (and variations) for years, and a recall/update was issued literally today.

Re: Quick Plug-in charging system problem

A recall has been issued for "Pud warning lamp on quick charge failure detection", which is supposedly the Tesla problem. Go here:

and type in your VIN.

BP Pulse "Hypercharger"

I tried the new "EV Hub" at Kettering this morning: the charger managed to read the car's state of charge, then failed with a flashing red light in the charge port. Luckily there was a ChargePoint next door at the Costa, which worked fine. Has anyone tried one of these chargers and succeed...
