Is there new software for the E?
My 22-plate Advance has just had its first service. It's always hard to tell, and I could be deluding myself, but I would say there have been a couple of changes in behaviour. The main one is that if I stop the car, park, and wait for a few minutes without turned the power off, the car no longer pro...

Re: Windscreen crack
I've just had the windscreen changed on my 22 plate Advance. The crack started from the driver's side A pillar, about half way up, and extended about a foot across horizontally. Autoglass ordered the part, but said it would be several weeks. I decided (as it was going in for a service anyway) to see...

Well, it was just a matter of waiting for it to be a bit colder. It looks like the trigger is 5C: if the temperature is that or below, the rear screen and the steering wheel heaters come on as part of the pre-conditioning. I still think it's a bit of an odd one: if you run the heating, but not the c...

Climate pre-conditioning
So I've been using the climate control pre-conditioning, partly to heat the car up while still on charge, and partly just because it's a nicer way to drive to work. The handbook says: The following functions also operate according to the temperature: When it is warm outside: • The air conditioning i...

Re: Tyre Pressure Warning
Unfortunately, that's true of most OEM tyre pressure systems, as opposed to the actual sensors you presumably have. They work by looking at the ABS sensor data in normal, straightline driving; they assume that if the steering wheel is straight and the stability control yaw sensor shows the car isn't...

Re: My Honda+ App: has the novelty warn off?
"mainly in always showing the car in an old state."
I apologise if I am stating the obvious, but if you tap the arrow/circle symbol in the top left hand corner it refreshes by talking to the car. I use this to track the temperature during the day.

Re: Tesla Supercharger Network Opened To Non-Tesla In UK
Please be kindly advised that the warranty of your Honda e may be invalidated if a damage is caused by using third party chargers. I think their response is poorly worded, but I have seen similar (and reasonable) statements over the years in other spaces. I also think "may" is doing a lot...

The same problem was reported in the earlier Netherlands trial:
