Re: 12v battery was dead and now alive?

1) There are many ways to test a battery. I suspect the dealer did not do a proper test. It sounds like the mobile mechanic did a reasonable job of testing the battery. A drop test involves putting a big load on the battery and checking it can kick out ~100amps. If it can, the voltage should only '...

12v battery was dead and now alive?

That dreaded day is finally here. Left my car on Friday on half a charge and on Sunday morning, the remote wasn't responding and the car won't start. The roadside assistance came and had no idea to fix but since I saw the 12v problem in so many posts, I suggested charging the 12v battery a bit. And ...

Re: Door Handles

Replaced passenger side under warranty. Take a video or image of them in mirror while driving for easy proof. Quick job. Although there's an interior trim piece inside the handle recess that they left with a broken clip, fell out later on. Same here, got the drivers side replaced under warranty. I ...

Re: Charge port glass lid shattered….

For me, its not clear if this protection film is just a ring of film that goes around the charging port, or it also covers the glass as well GENUINE HONDA E CHARGE PORT PROTECTION FILM 2020 https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk/honda-shop/genuine-honda-e-charge-port-protection-film-2020/ Did anyone get t...

Re: Dash Camera Installation

I've decided to fit the Blackvue dash cam on the driver's side because I have found out that I can power it from the OBDII port (which is in the driver's footwell) using the Blackvue Conecta cable, that also has the battery discharge protection so parking mode can be used and it's cheaper & mor...

Re: All-season tire reccomendations

Great to hear feedback from NL which will the most relevant input for me! Also thanks for putting down the exact model numbers, I wouldn't be able to find those on my own. I have 2 questions: 1- (asking out of ignorance) Would those models you put in fit my stock 16'' rims? 2- What made you stray a...

Re: All-season tire reccomendations

I want good tires on my car and my research is leading me to Michelin Crossclimate 2. Anybody has any experience with those? Or any other reccomendations? Yes, actually considered those as well. I hated the original tires, especially since the car came with two different types of tyres for the fron...

Re: Soft paint easy chipping

I did not notice the chipping, as I had already wrapped it as a precaution, but during my two day test drive I did notice that the car is really dirt prone. A bit of rain, sand, and dirt, and the car was totally covered in mud and crap on the side doors and back. Maybe it's because the (back) wheel...

Re: Best place for the phone mount?

I almost forgot about this post I made. Time to give back to the community :D At the end I opted for this solution. It is no way as fancy as Williamchan's setup but it served me well in the last months. It directly aligns with the arm rest (and my elbow) so it is super easy to reach. The magsafe mag...
