Re: Dash Camera Installation

I'm trying on a rear camera, which is not connected to the front dashcam in any way. What might be the easiest source for power at the back? Presumably the boot lid itself has mostly on-use power (reversing camera, rear wiper, rear defroster), though the rear view mirror camera might be always power...

Re: Annoying rattle in the overhead switch cluster

I've just discovered that when I pull the sunblind back the rattle will start, but if I close the sunblind the rattle stops. I guess I'll be driving with the blind closed most of the time from now on! Just yesterday I finally realized that closing the sunblind stops the rattle. I searched the forum...

Re: Dash Camera Installation

This is where I’ve installed mine, but I’m having adhesion issues in hot weather and not matter what adhesive tape I try, having cleaned the console it seems to always fall off in warmer weather. Will be interested to hear how yours gets on. I also like the neatness of the wires coming out of the h...

Re: Dash Camera Installation

I replaced my old (7 years now) Viofo/iTracker A119S with a new Viofo A229 Pro (4K). While I installed the A119S on the windscreen... a119s.jpg ...I decided to try something new this time, and installed the A229 on the camera hump: A229-1.jpg A229-2.jpg Power comes from the driver side (left) fuse b...

Re: Preconditioning fogs up the windows

Honda - owner's manuals Page 622-624 on the 21YM manual for the e . Takes like a minute to replace, so no sense in paying a dealership to do it... One silly thing about the air filter; when air recirculation is on, the filter is exposed to the glovebox, which is of course open at the top. I've twic...

Re: Quick Plug-in charging system problem

Recap; in my case this has happened twice with one specific charger. Another charger, of the same operator, right beside that one worked normally. The operator (Plugit Finland) finally informed me that they have investigated the chargers and have found no faults. Likewise, apparently I am the only u...

Re: Preconditioning fogs up the windows

I've narrowed down the cause of this issue btw; it tends to happen after visiting a self-service car wash. While washing the windscreen and the area underneath it, it would appear enough water makes it's way to the air intake, and results in a slightly damp cabin air filter. Once I take the cabin ai...

Re: Adjust headlights beam

I have slightly adjusted the headlights, and I'm happy with the aim. However, on a recent foggy day I turned off the headlights and activated the fog lights, while driving at 15 km/h or so, and realized they're aimed so near that the area they lit up is almost entirely obscured by the bonnet! My fro...

Re: Best place for the phone mount?

I've put two small metal plates inside the phone's case, in spots where they do not interfere with NFC or wireless charging, and likewise two magnet mounts on the left centre vent: IMG_20240301_221406_8.4.300s.jpg The phone sits there horizontally, supported by the "ledge" underneath, and ...

Re: Headlight colour has changed?

I swear I have noticed something very similar with my side mirror cameras. When I reverse out of my drive/cul de sac , the right hand mirror has a decidedly blue tint to the composite image / 360 view. The rest of the image looks natural. Oh certainly, the side mirror cameras clearly don't coordina...
