Re: Two lazy question

A proper human being would spend 5 minutes with the manual and then 30 seconds disabling the high beams, while I am turning it off each time I get into the car every winter for two years now. Thank you for the tip :D

Re: Goodbye Honda e – That's a Wrap in Europe

More than a year in Lithuania. No mentioning on the dealer's website that it has ever existed.

Re: Dead Honda e

Some time ago there was an EV youtuber who has experienced similar issues with his Ioniq 5. Turned out that the drain was happenning due to the app requesting data from the car too often. Each request was waking up the 12v system and since the car was technically off the 12v battery was not charging...

Re: Dead Honda e

Does it matter how fast the AC charging is or any AC charging applies the 13.3v? There are charges with variable amperage, so, technically, it is possible to greatly slow down the charging process and it would take way longer than an hour for the HV to get from 80% to 100%. Maybe, with such a charge...

Re: Dead Honda e

All this talk has scared me into buying a lithium jump starter despite never having an issue with my battery so far. Better safe than sorry :D A youtube channel Project farm has recently convinced me that Noco GX45 is a good starter. Probably, an overkill for the E, but one never knows where one mig...

Re: Dead Honda e

I don't want to be that guy but I've been working in tech support long enough... Are you sure you are using the right key? Maybe there are several hondas in the household and the keys got mixed accidentaly? I just can't see a reason for a car to not be able to unlock with a physical key. Just trying...

Re: First OTA update released!

The preparation step should not take long. It took a minute or so on mine with the progress being displayed on the bar.

The longest part of the update is when the screens shut down. Then it takes a few minutes before it comes back to life.

Re: Crunch noise after long time sitting idle

This indeed sound like brakes, especially with the remark that the weather was wet. I am getting similar sounds after washing my car on the weekend and then driving it on a weekday. Driving for some time clears the brake discs and removes the sound. So yeah, totally normal and not specific to the E :)

Re: Public Charging Networks

This might not sit well with some of you, but adding more chargers would not put significantly more people into EVs. With my previous ICE car, I had to stop for petrol every two weeks or so. It was a 5-minute stop and it was on my way home (the most convenient scenario possible). I still considered ...

Re: Air conditioning compressor shortcycling?

I can clearly hear the compressor cycling when I am in a stationary car. This is true both for heating and cooling. The sound might be preceived as vibration since nothing else is moving on the car at that point, but I wouldn't say that it makes a concerning amount of "vibration". So the s...
