Re: 12v Battery Best Practices

The cheapy BM2 battery monitor is still useful even out of range. It will log/store 30 days of data. You can then 'pick up' the data when you are next near, and have a look. I correlate with my CCTV to work out what happened when and see if I can explain any abnormalities (after a few months of use,...

Re: Sudden drop in charge

This is normal, I find that as soon as you get to about 12% it starts to disappears very quickly - especially at speed because the voltage drop is comparatively higher.

Re: New owner with a couple of questions

OMG - Reuben80 is right, I would never have believed it! A quick test just now confirms: 1) approach car 2) handles pop out 3) put all 4 fingers under the handle 4) press the fingertips against the backside of the handle, do not move the handle at all! 5) approx <0.5 secs later you hear the car unlo...

Re: New owner with a couple of questions

from the manual: The door may not open if you pull it immediately after gripping the door handle. Grip the handle again and confirm that the door is unlocked before pulling the handle. • Even within the 80 cm (32 inches) radius, you may not be able to lock/unlock the doors and the tailgate with the ...

Re: New owner with a couple of questions

You do not need to pull twice on the door handle to open, there is a sensor inside the handle, just put you your fingers inside the handle as if you are going to open and wait for the unlock. If it doesn't the first time just move your fingers until you find the right position. You can do the same ...

If I do NOT maintain a 12 volt supply whilst doing the change over what am I likely to have to reset or what data will I lose and anything else I should be concerned about ? I r...

Re: New owner with a couple of questions

1) The door handles should retract the moment you drive off. If they don't the handles are either getting sticky or the mechanism is failing or you have another. If it's in warranty, get some new handles ASAP to save you the cost/hassle. The mechanism itself it simple enough to diagnose/grease/etc i...

Re: Unable to start Honda e

I do not know the date of manufacture, but it was replaced simply because it had gone flat recently. At the time the car was about 27 months old (from registration date). It went flat completely around the time the software update went out, and had gone flat previously when laid up for 2 weeks. Also...

Re: 12V battery issues

The annoying thing is that the message that pops up to warn you the system will go flat is so long and so unclear everyone just presses yes to cancel the cut off.

Re: Chip tuning boxes for honda e

Doesn't do anything...

From the bottom of the site:

The RaceChip RX is attached between the accelerator pedal sensor and the engine control unit

So all it does it modulate and adjust throttle position. Yawn...
