That is most unfortunate, but thanks for confirming it. Really curious to see if they ever manage to get it working.

The car I bought is from Italy, but TCU does not show a connection so the e-SIM mode was presumably not set there...and even if it were, Honda's connected services support said they have no contracts with mobile service providers in unsupported countries anyway.

I've only had it for a couple of days, but liking it so far. It's fun to drive, rides very well, and I love the styling. The range isn't stellar, obviously, but underground parking reduces the initial heating/cooling energy consumption, and I have (slow) charging there as well.
