Glad to hear they got to the bottom of it. Sounds like an opportunity for some design improvement, continually retrying the solenoid over and over every second is just overkill. No wonder you could smell burning!
I still don't get on with the door handles. They don't feel sturdy enough, and the ergonomics of it don't sit well for me (the angle, the flatness , the action of it all). Another silly gimmick that should have been avoided, especially if prone to failure and burning out
The switchgear for the window and door looks identical to the 10th gen civic - which seems to be holding up well in the wifes civic.

Had exactly the same fault on mine a 2020 carYellow e wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 4:09 pm The problem was traced to the door handle flip out mechanism which was sending a not closed message to the control unit in the dash. Whole mechanism replaced including the body coloured handle (which had to come from Belgium apparently). Car collected today but they had neither washed it or charged it. Glad to have handed the hybrid Jazz back, not a nice car.
