Stock E adv. 17" wheel weight

Has anybody weighed the 17" advanced wheels without the tire? I was looking to replace the stock wheels (to show of the racecar caliper config ) with some 17x7 for the front and 17x8 for the rears.

I saw JR has the SL01 which are a bit lighter than some of their other alloys coming in at 7.6kg Front and 8.3kg Rears for the above specified config. I wanted to know if i was going to save weight or even just potentially break even. I haven't found this data anywhere online like on spec websites for the car.

Given the amount of lock on the steering rack, I'd be interested to see if a 17x7 would fit okay without any rubbing at full lock. I've had a couple of delays but my e should be arriving in Iceland next month, and I've been thinking about options for wheels too

I took some very rudimentary measurements a couple months ago and found that theres about 25mm from the edge of the wheel to the fender and 50mm from the inside of the wheel to the strut so any offset that stays between those two values should be fine. E.g., 17x7 ET40 (45 would likely be "better") and 17x8 ET 35 should fit fine. I will take some better measurements once i get a better idea of what's available.

If you want lightweight - consider Weds WedsSport TC105X wheels from Japan. I've been extremely happy with them on my GR Yaris so keen to opt for a new set for my e. The size above weighs in at only 6.8 kg.

I doubt you'd have any issues with that size. Consider that with stock wheels at full lock, there's still 30mm at the closest point from the tire to the fender liner. I believe in a previous thread i opened about wheel sizes, someone mentioned that 25mm wheel spacers fit fine. Also i hope you considered other tires as i doubt PS4s would even mild stretch considering they're stiff as sh*t

Good to know, I’ll be taking measurements the first day I have it. The seller just put new Yokohama AD09 tyres on the front as per my preference, hopefully they stretch like the AD08R that I’ve been running. I have 235/40R18 on 18x9.5” wheels and the stretch is barely noticeable.

Understandable, they seem to be very expensive in EU/UK whereas in Australia, they’re about €1.5k from our distributor.

You should be able to fit anything under there, as long as you follow the basic Honda e specifications. Then play with any combination of tyres and rims and see if they stay within the allowed range of deviations. Personally, I looked at the official measurements first. You either go for the 16" or 17" option.

16"
Rim size: 16x6 ET50 (front) + 16x7 ET45 (rear)
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3 (front +rear)
Tyre size: 185/60 R16 (front) + 205/55 R16 (rear)

17"
Rim size: 17x6.5 ET55 (front) + 17x7.5 ET50 (rear)
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3 (front +rear)
Tyre size: 205/45 R17 (front) + 225/50 R17 (rear)

Then go to:

It will tell you if the chosen combination of rims and tyres are within specification, both with numbers and a pictures.

Thanks for that! I meant i wasn't able to find only weight specs for the stock setup. I was wondering if going with the SL01 was going to save me some unsprung weight or at least break even. I used willtheyfit to check poke/fouling etc.

It's a private sale and the seller is waiting for me to sell my current car, hopefully any week now.

Due to budget reasons I may end up having to do 17x7 ET40 front and 17x8 ET35 rear. If I feel particularly mad maybe even 17x7.5 ET35 and 17x8.5 ET35 but I’m not convinced with these offsets on how they’d look and the PS4s might have issues. I’m also having a hard time finding 8.5 ET40+ configs that have the smaller sizes for the front. Such a headache
