Tyre Pressures

I've just bought new tyres and on the original 17" Michelin PS4's I set my pressures 37psi front & 32psi rear from the 33psi all round after around 10k miles because the rears were wearing in the middle & the fronts on the outer edges.
I've now fitted e-Primacy's all round and will start with 35psi all round to try and keep the wear even across the tread width.

What are pressures are others using & what tyres are you running.

BTW - I check my tyre pressures at least once a month and ensure that they have not had one side in the sun to make sure they all at a similar temperature.

I'm on 245 Kpa or 35.5 PSI on all four.

Didn't follow the recommended 230 Kpa as I feel its rather low.my previous Honda GP5, slightly over a ton is recommended with 220 Kpa front and 210 Kpa rear on a 185/65R15. This E is much heavier so on a similar size pressure should be higher, furthermore its running on 17 with lower profile. My Alfa Romeo which is closer at 1.5 ton is asking for 250 Kpa min for 235/40R18, this is the reason I'm going for 245 Kpa.

The 50-50 weight distribution I believe is the reason for them to recommend the same pressure for front and rear so I'm keeping to it for the moment, had only covered 9k+ km over the past one year.

If you have access to a thermal camera.

Pick a pressure go for a run warm up the tyres then see where the hot spots are and adjust accordingly

I'm running the standard 2.4bar on michelin primacy 2 tyres (not e primacy). 17inch sizes.

Worth checking your gauge if you can, I had a 'nice one' that I liked to use, and all of a sudden I thought hmm all tyres are a bit low, checked it against 2 others and it turned out to be suddenly under reading.

Haven't noticed any uneven wear yet. It's a harder tyre compared to the pilot sport 4 for sure (it has less compliance, it will break traction under hard acceleration when the road surface isn't perfect, which didn't happen with the ps4).

I have the primacy e and running them with 40psi. Everything good so far, very efficient but no grip lol.

I’d suggest lowering those pressures to something sensible like 35psi or even factory spec 33psi.
My e-Primacy’s stick like glue at those lower whereas the original PS4’s slipped under hard acceleration on the same surfaces, forcing the traction control to kick in.

As for efficiency, the e-Primacy’s seem to be 10-30% more efficient but as I’ve only done around 200 miles so far it’s hard to tell if it’s nearer 10% or 30%.

Yes I noticed 20% better efficiency. With the PS4 used to keep them at 33psi but in the end I had so much wear on the sides that made me think that were under inflated. So this time I decided to keep them 40psi. Difficult to tell the wear at this stage, it is still early but I think front can stay 40spi. The rears maybe can be lowered as I have lack of grip at the back and the PS4 with 33psi were fine at the back after 50000km. I will try.

There are many e-Primacy tyres in the correct size, which did you get, I chose the same load rating as the original PS4's:
Front: 205/45 R17 88H
Rear: 225/45 R17 94W

That's in part why I chose the H rated tyres for the front, they had had both the rear & front e-Primacy's available, rather me having to go to two separate fitters for the front & rear.

Just in case anyone didn't know, the speed rating of the 2 types are:
H - up to 130 mph
W - up to 168 mph
