Thanks for the responses, and particularly the update list.
I can forward that with a 'please confirm' before handover Tuesday, and if I later get any of the faults due to lack of updates I will at least have some leverage.
I do agree with the idea this is a one off. I always regretted not buying one of the original insights.
New joiner...and question about charging please

Regarding charging to 100% or not, I only charge to 80+ when I'm doing roadtrips and plan to consume it very soon. As far as I know, charging over 80 is bad mostly when you leave it charged like that for a long time.
I just wanted to say a huge thanks for this again.hondaeboy wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 6:02 pmThere's nothing wrong with the 12V battery. Still on the first, original one from the early 2020-ies.
However...there is something wrong with much of the first (untested) iterations of the software on the various parts of the car. There are countless scenarios that were not taken into account in the first versions, that ended up depleting the 12V battery. Make sure they apply each. and. every. software update there is. Honda dealers are very reluctant to do so, because most of the updates are only applied when customers complain. So that's unfortunately what you need to do: complain!
I think these are the most recent software versions that are currently available. The second from last digit is the "version" number. Some important things like battery management (both 12V and traction battery) have already have quite a few enhancements. One of the seems to release an extra 2 kWh (at least in my case) and another allows you to charge at Tesla (which had not been possible for the past 4 years). The updates with an * are the 4 most recent updates.

I cut and paste it to the dealer, and now I have a Honda printout confirming this is all done for the future.
I was back in UK a week ago and had a play with the car. They are wonderful things, I can see what all the fuss is about.
I want to wrap it in white and get Martini decals now. Apologies for anyone who winces.
