Only recently revisited here, after a long break, and am finding the ads annoying. Mainly because the pages take longer to load, and/or refresh. Lots of “white blank spaces” waiting for ads to appear. Have you noticed the change?
So Rob, what if we were willing to pay a small annual sub, of say £10. Would that be enough to get rid of these ads? Or does it come as part of software deal?
How much do you value this Forum?

advance2020, I’ve sent you a private message.
Rob, I’d also pay a small annual subscription if its needed to support the website in an ad free format for everyone.

The ideal solution would be to have the option to pay a small fee to remove ads, not pay and accept ads or as a forum user to find an alternative option.

I don't have a problem with adverts. I use Firefox browser on my PC and I have the AdBlock extension. I don't see any adverts.londiniumperson wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 3:56 pm The ideal solution would be to have the option to pay a small fee to remove ads, not pay and accept ads or as a forum user to find an alternative option.
I think usually this works the best.londiniumperson wrote: ↑Mon Apr 04, 2022 3:56 pmThe ideal solution would be to have the option to pay a small fee to remove ads, not pay and accept ads or as a forum user to find an alternative option.
Hi,
I thought I'd answered this elsewhere but I dont plan to offer a subscription and prefer an ad supported model.
That said, you should see at most 2 or 3 ads to a page and thats it.
It is far less than what you would see on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, media websites or any news website.
