Nope - I've only heard it twice in 18 months, despite driving in all weathers. It seems to come through all speakers as if to be an infotainment related noise rather than a warning noise (Which seem to come from the center speaker only I think, or a beep which is has a separate sounder I believe).
It will forever be a mystery it seems!

I have disabled "play conversation chime" in the android auto settings and haven't heared the chime since. Now there is no audio notification when a message arrives, but I can see it being delivered anyway and it doesn't interrupt my audio books anymore. Give it a try and tell us if this was also the source of your chimes
