Super surprise today.... got a letter from Honda Switzerland today saying that:

- Honda E can be loaded / discharged bi-directionally
- it is the first production car in the world that can
- it works over the CCS DC connection
- there is a Swiss developed charging station that you can buy

Thought this was pretty shocking news, our little Honda never stops to amaze.

Will do some more exploring what this is costing to install, to see if sufficient justification.

What do you think??

In the UK we were originally promised this functionality but when the car was actually available for delivery it was 'forgotten' about.
I understand that all of the cars already have the hardware available to support bi-directional charging and there were some trials, however nothing was released to the public.

What a missed opportunity but with Honda pulling the plug on the car hopefully some independent EV converting companies could sort out what needs to be done to get it working, it’s part of the future and even Tesla have done a 180 and included it in the Cybertruck.

iirc in 2020 I think Honda's own/partner bi directional charger was going to cost around £13k, you wouldn't get many takers would you!
