I added this comment to the another thread on the E Forum yesterday and MattHero has given me the link here so I have put it in this thread too.
I don't own a Honda E but I do own a Honda Jazz which has the brake simulator fault which appears to be the same on the E.
Honda UK must surely be aware of the problem by now since on the Uk Club Jazz.org forum our members have already reported 8 cases in the last few months and we are also aware of the Japanese recall. Some of our Dealers have also reported large numbers of the fault on 2 - 3 1/2 year old cars with low mileages including the E. Honda UK are only currently offering a small contribution (to a very large repair bill) to out of warranty cars despite this being a manufacturing fault and a brake safety issue. Some of our members are already beginning to take the issue up with Honda UK and if necessary contact relevant Consumer organisations if Honda do not do the right thing.
The relevant section is under Honda Jazz Mk4 and the following web address should take you there if you want to see it https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=16448.0
At the time of writing this it runs to 10 pages.
I am sure our members would appreciate it if some of you wanted to join the thread and add your experiences, but I think you would need to register first like I have on yours.

This has just happened to my e - again, just ticked over 15k miles.
Thankfully I have warranty still so waiting to hear back from local Honda dealer at Cheshire Oaks about what happens next. Wish me luck I guess?
Any advice from those who have gone through this previously would be welcomed and greatly appreciated!

I have encountered the same issue with my 2020 Honda E advance that has done less than 3000 miles.
I went to my local Honda dealership and he couldnt see any recalls affecting the brakes. I got an appointment for diagnostics early Jan 2025.
Is there a resolution for this or will I have to end up paying stealer prices?

In case it is of use/interest to anyone else I have posted a short vid of all the warning lights associated with failure of the Brake Operating Simulator which is now the subject of an offical recall notice altho' in typical fashion Honda UK deny this is "official".
**Update: I dont seem to be able to copy a valid link to Facebook Community so will try old fashioned way. Bear with .....
OK hope this works. I simply cannot be ar*ed to find a way to link to the Honda e Facebook Group where this resides. In short Honda are insisting on testing vehicle to make sure problem is as disgnosed by the AA (er, I think thats pretty obvious!!) and only then will they order the part which, by the way, is not the subject of an offical Honda recall according to Honda UK. Unbelievable.
So I now have to wait 3 weeks for the "technical assessment" and then no doubt a long wait for the replacement unit. The service manager claims the previous supply problem has been sorted but an anonymous to call to other dealers suggest the reality is very different - minimum of 3 month lead so read 6 months.
** Have to admit defeat. Anyone who can provide an easy to follow guide to uploading a short vid to this site from an iPhone and I'll give it one last try. Life is too short.

OK - fingers firmly crossed!
There are 13 separate warnings!

Incredibly then, this is the situation as it was for me 1/3/24; you wait for an appointment with the dealer to assess (3 weeks in my case) and then you wait for the part to arrive (4 weeks at that time).tencherman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 1:14 pm In short Honda are insisting on testing vehicle to make sure problem is as disgnosed by the AA (er, I think thats pretty obvious!!) and only then will they order the part which, by the way, is not the subject of an offical Honda recall according to Honda UK. You'd have hoped that by now there would be an expedited path to fixing this faulty part, but I'm sad to hear there is not.

Matthero - well, let's see how Honda Customer (lack of) Service respond tomorrow morning when I call to ask how they think this efficient/sensible and ask why Honda don't acknowledge an official safety recall. I shall of course record our conversation "for training & quality puposes" as I suspect the transcript will demonstrate they need help with both.

I received my first response from Honda UK Customer Service having spoken to them last week about the nonesensical situation of a known issue (brake servo/simulator) is the subject of an official DVSA recall but denied as such by Honda who also insist on another diagnosis visit before ordering part thereby extending the agony.
In short, it was the denial of there being any issue so the standard "nothing to see here" format. Their response to my response with documentaion etc. (and advising them of my discussion with DVSA who confirmed safety recall) should be entertaining.
In the meantime, aside from the degarded braking function I have noted:
1. compromised steering assitsance such that single handed use is not recommended. It's a curious 'feel' but the standard weighting has now been lost. The warning symbols with info do suggest this will occur but it is a surprise.
2. the loss of anti-skid feature means the slightest use of a leaden right foot will unhook the rear end. The little e's torque is sufficiently brutal to offer tail happy motoring not only at take off but whilst underway. Very entertaining but demonstrates just how necessary such driver aids are !
Will update further on this saga as and when.
P.S. Honda Customer Service rep is utterly charming which takes the sting out of the whole debacle for the time being

UPDATE AND IT'S POSITIVE NEWS!
I've just rec'd the following response from the very charming rep at Honda Customer Services. Hopefully it's self explanatory and allays the fears of those who have a 2020-2022 Honda e that hasn't yet suffered this BOS failure and enables those who have, and had to cough up, to reclaim the cost:
"I am following up on my previous communication, as I have had the opportunity to investigate the matter further, and furthermore we have just received an update from Honda HQ regarding the revised service bulletin.
As of today, 22 January 2025, a parts availability campaign has been launched concerning the brake performance simulator for the affected VINs. According to the information received, your VIN is included in this campaign (code 6AF).
Honda is currently in the process of procuring replacement parts to ensure the brake function simulator can be replaced on all affected vehicles as soon as possible.
Please note that customer notifications typically take a few days to be issued. However, since you have already scheduled an appointment with your retailer, once the technicians confirm the issue with your vehicle, they will be able to process the warranty claim. If this issue is linked to the new campaign, the repair costs will be covered at no charge.
That being said, I must emphasize that the retailer will not be able to order the required parts until a diagnosis is completed. However, as this issue is related to the brake pedal problem addressed by the new campaign, parts have already been ordered for the affected vehicles.
Please let me know if this information meets your expectations or if you would like me to escalate your query any further.
I apologise for not having provided the correct information sooner, but as mentioned, the campaign was only launched today, 22 January."
