Hi everybody!
A little introduction.
Proud Honda e owner here. I have had this car for almost 3 weeks now, and still driving around with my mouth stretched to my ears. Bought this car second hand, because didn´t have the opportunity to buy it when it was still in production. This is our family´s second car and mainly for my wife, but we have used the second car now only when my wife is driving the e. This is my first electric car and first Honda. Actually when the Honda e was introduced, my first thoughts were that finally car manufacturers were putting some effort into designing pretty cars and I really loved the design. Still do. It seems that even pedestrians can´t get their eyes off from our e- my wife said one day that when she was driving around, one guy with his daughter just stood in the middle of the road and kept looking
But when I started looking at Honda ads, one white e with white 18 inch oz multi-spoke wheels really struck me- well, the coolest car I have ever seen. My wife actually really likes manufacturer wheels and they look also cool. And driving with them is also good- good balance between handling and comfort. Has anybody upgraded their wheels and tires? How does it drive now?
The other thing I was thinking on doing, would be to wrap the car, to protect the paint and also try out some interesting color- maybe bright red (with white wheels).
And what other accessories have you added to your e? I would really appreciate it, if you´d also post some pictures with modifications you have made to your e-s.
Of course I don´t mind the car as it is at all - the car is like an art piece. It seems that this car was made almost fully by designers - even mudflaps are made so small, just not to ruin the overall look.
Random Honda e questions
If you do change tyres, do not make the mistake I did of going for higher rated XL tyres. I went for michelin Primacy 4 with XL sidewall rating (rated A for rolling resistance, cant recall the load index off hand). Whatever benefit I got in mileage (id say maybe .1 or .2 miles/kwh) is not worth the affect on ride quality.
I had thought to change the wheels at some point, but the rear wheels are a different width and offset. You can probably get away with 4 matching, but the tyre deflation system may not like it.
No mods, but make sure you get the factory armrest, the car is nothing without it!

Exactly what I´m afraid of. When I testdrove the car, it had same width summer tires and after fitting original size all-season tires, the car feel much more comfortable. Just thinking that maybe if summer tires were also wider in the rear, the feel wouldn´t get worse.EEEE wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 6:36 am If you do change tyres, do not make the mistake I did of going for higher rated XL tyres. I can vouch for the armrest as well- it seems like a mandatory accessory. All-in-all, the Advance model has so many extras that its more than enough.

I've had mine since January 2022 at this stage and have done nothing to it except adding the armrest. As said above, it's the only real must-have accessory.
I have changed my wheels to bigger and wider and i have noticed a change in range albiet small it exists
i think its less the size as its only nominally wider and more the compound that made the biggest difference so id keep in mind to stay away from your super sporty grippy tyres i have michellin PS4 on mine and notice maybe .3 mile per kw down if i put the old one back on it reverts back to original economy
PCD is 5 x 114
mine are 17 inch 7.5 inch wide and et 45 i believe with spacers on back to widen it even more

I believe that they are one and the same PCD, but since the history of 114.3 PCD is based in imperial (4.5inch), modern PCDs are listed in MM, so gets listed as 114mm retrospectively.
even if there are 2 different schools of thought on the actual PCD, I suspect that 114 and 114.3 are interchangeable since the studs aren't really machined into the hub, they have a little wiggle room for deflection.
