The article from The Drive shows an additional screen that's basically been slotted in front of the e's existing driver screen, which looks very messy and isn't appealing.

I'm going to guess is basically a tech demo, or a third party thing done in association with Honda that'll basically never make it to production. Nice to see that it can be done, but I'd rather not ruin the look of my interior by slapping another screen on top of my existing one that basically has windows 10/11 on it.

The second video has basically zero context or proof that it's actually a working system or even prototype, so I'll call bullshit on it until I see it explained and on sale and/or see it demonstrated in the flesh.

Its just a tech demo as mentioned. Its unlikely to be available for the e (the app store is dead - no aquarium anymore). The fact its just a screen placed in front shows its never going to come to the e (otherwise why develop it off-platform?)

I do think the makers are on to something. Driving the e is very boring compared to a 'fun' ice car. I miss the noise, the vtec kick, etc. Sound alone would be a bit of a gimmick admittedly, but coupled with torque dips for simulated gearchanges, it could fool you into thinking its more fun. Each to there own though - it could get tiring after a while. The dash simulator is cool, as the Honda line up of old had some very distinctive dash board designs.

These are the cool things that honda could have done with the e to help get some extra sales income / user satisfaction / development traction - but sadly not on such a limited platform (In terms of sales volume). I'd pay 10quid for a vtec simulator torque dip and sound simulator with retro dash. Maybe even £20... I think they missed a trick with the app store. I could perhaps forgive the flat 12v batteries and knackered door handles if the car did more quirky/cool things to keep me amused.

Each to their own... adding noise to the tyre noise is just ridiculous for me personally, I want the quietest smoothest drive possible.... just with the maximum torque and accelleration :-) :D

The second video (his channel has several more clips, but no technical details) might be something like the Milltek sound generator.
