just under 1.8k registered in the UK according to 'how many left'. Common as muck compared to the prelude lol.

Are you sure? There are around 1000 taxed preludes listed and looking at some of the 53 variants there are many more SORN’d than taxed.
Also that database is well known to woefully under record numbers and doesn’t include a myriad of cars.

I don't see why I wouldn't trust the numbers. Starts at 0, goes up at the right time and then starts to tail off. Makes sense to me. We already know the e is expensive and not terribly practical or competitively priced, quite a niche.

As for SORNed preludes - I don't think many of them will be coming back, worth more in parts sadly! I must admit I was disregarding the 2litre and the auto's , 2.2 manual is the one to have.

I wonder how many e there will be in 20+ years time?
