Hello guys, I've had my Honda for almost three months now, but only yesterday I noticed this loud mechanical "click" sound when changing from Drive to Park, I guess it can be totally normal, the driveshaft or something similar disengages, but I wanted to be sure you guys hear the same sound.
I've never noticed it before because it's not noticeable with windows closed, the car interior is extremely silent. Now with summer coming I've started driving with windows open, that's why I noticed I guess.

It's probably the actuator locking the transmission.

I’ve wondered about a similar thing when mine was new, but that was when going from park to reverse when heading out from my garage. Turns out my garage is particularly well suited for amplifying the loud “clack” sound of the door handles snapping back to the “in” position.

kapı kolu tam kapanmamış olabiliyor, tık tık ondan. ya binerken elle kapatın yada camı açıp bastırın kapı kolunu
I've noticed this too when I'm in underground parking and it echoes off the walls. It's the transmission lock actuator engaging/disengaging to prevent the car from rolling when in park.

It is normal but is not good at the same time because you are stressing the transmission locking pin or whatever it is called, especially when you park on a slope. When parking always pull the ebrake before you release the brake pedal. Otherwise if it rests on the pin it will make that noise when you put it in D or R and you can break it easily.
