at least they are trying to.
Except for side cameras, this Firefly should be a real step up from the E. Space in the front hood, more space in the back is what we already see in the previews. As well as the ability to get the car in and out of garages or parking spaces while standing outside the vehicle. It should also have battery swaps, and I expect the range to be much greater than the E. Almost all EVs offer at least 200 miles of range these days.

It has side cameras but together with mirrors like most do.

I don't expect battery swaps in the firefly brand (and i don't think it makes sense, charging times are getting increasingly shorter) I believe proposed range should be 330kms WLTP so right in line with your range estimates.

It starts a with a proposed price of aprox. 20.000€ in China, so here we would see 26/28 most probably.

What?! No, that's one of the best features of the Honda e, design and utility-wise :-)

I don't want to be one of those people that sees a successor to their car and says eugh I don't like that....

...but when I saw the prototype e I thought it was exciting. When I watched YouTubes that described the flaws I didn't mind.

I'm not getting that with those. They have a whiff of hyundai (who are making great cars) and knight rider steering wheels are a very tired way to signal cutting edge.

Testdriven the R5 yesterday.
Fun to drive ,bigger range, slightly bigger boot... but
Leg rest on the midtunnel and space between the door and arm also tighter.

Back in the E it whas like whoow space and whoow the camera mirrors are soo nice

Indeed!
I was on a road trip in the US, received a 2024 Toyota Corolla as the rental, and over a span of 15 days drove a total of 7,150 km (over 4,400 miles). Was there more leg room, yes and was the cabin a bit wider, yes also. Was the boot spacious? Taking into account that the boot and glovebox of the e are the same relative dimensions, yes of course.

What about the engine? I never had a problem: it always started and ran smooth. Passing power? Being outfitted with a 3-Hamster, 2-cycle dishwasher, passing a car on the highway one only needed to pop in your noise cancelling headphones, wait until the other two hamsters joined Hank on the hamster wheel, then watch as this scoot-around-town-beauty increased her MPH by one mile per second.

The turning radius difference was quite large (comparably), however, for a road trip, I woud most certainly rent it again. Comfortable, spacious enough, and the gas milage was excellent (around 45 or so MPG - city and highway).

Yet still, back home, in the e...first noticed - wow - the cabin is indeed smaller (length and width), yet still roomy enough... everything is beautifully placed within reach - the camera mirrors, oh how I missed you and how wonderful you are, you bring light into my life! - the motor - passing is fun again and I have more than enough power, immediately, and on demand. Parking and turning around in cities is so much easier. This car is, for what it's designed for, a city, almost perfect (yeah yeah, the range sucks, the auto. defrost fogs up my windows sometimes, I also had the passenger handles replaced, etc., etc.). ;)

I love this car - one of the best I've owned. Every trip is actually fun and I always can't wait to drive it again.
