Japan Spec conversion

Hi guys, i am currently driving a Japan Spec which uses Type1 and chademo charge ports. is it possible to convert it to Europe Spec which uses CCS2/Type2 ?

Adapters for CHAdeMO to CCS are slowly starting to appear on the market, but an actual conversion replacing the physical ports on the car would be a substantial amount of work I'd imagine. Not impossible though, just expensive and time consuming. An adaptor is probably the best way to go for simplicity's sake.

If you could find a donor car from the European market with the CCS infrastructure on board, then it'd basically just be a part for part hardware swap as far as I'm aware. I know of one person in the UK who works for a Honda specialist who's flashed their BMS software with the Japanese version to unlock the extra range that the JDM e has (the software doesn't reserve as much of the battery as a buffer on JDM cars), so the underlying software seems to be the same, and theoretically I think it'd be possible, but not sure how practical it would be. You also need a lot of expensive proprietary support software to make changes like this that's dealer/specialist specific so it's out of the reach of most people.

I'm planning on doing software work on my own car once it's out of warranty too, don't want to risk screwing anything up before then

i dont find japanese has that much of a extra range as claimed... even when i charge via chademo up to 98%, i only get approx range about 180km, short 40 as claimed.

anyways, is there any way to flash the japanese version to and english version?
