Let us know how you get on installing these. It looks like a post lift along with engine/transmission table(s) are required so not really possible to be done on a driveway by the average owner.

I can see the benefits but can't justify the hassle and expense.

I'm really surprised that the manufacturers aren't using tapered fittings to ensure perfect alignment, but then every bean counts even if it would improve the chassis alignment with better driving dynamics, which 99%+ of people wouldn't be aware of, or care about.

its not really that bad, but you do need a couple of jack stands and 2 jacks, a torque wrench, a set of tools to do the job, other than that, nothing much, i had my apprentice to do it while i supervise him, i have done the installation numerous times, so i hand it to him and let him learn.

after installation, wheel alignment was needed as the steering wheel was off center. after the installation, noises that occur especially at speedbumps, uneven road surfaces were reduced, suspension and steering is more precise. overall, this mod is always performed with my cars and always recommended to customers of mine.

4k? ouch! Time to add gbox fluid to my list of jobs!

I haven't yet jacked the e up yet - is there a rear central mounting jack point? This would make putting in 2 axel stands on the rear sill easier (otherwise, jacking at the front to place on the rear is less ideal).

How much was the spoon kit? It seems overkill, but given the high weight of the E, I suspect flex between components is higher than an equivalent ICE hatchback.

yes there is a centre hook which you could jack her up, then put her on left and right jackstands. it requires 2.2litres of DW1, mine is different, but higher or equal to DW1 is fine..

The kit was around ¥47,000 if i remember correctly... less than 50k.. its not an overkill, do try it, you will love it.
