Hello everyone. My Honda has a strange problem. It displays a message on the screen indicating a malfunction with the power system. I took the car to the Honda dealer, but they couldn't find any error codes. The strange thing is that the message on the dashboard remains permanently lit, and the Honda dealer doesn't know any solution. I am now at a loss for what to do next.

I have checked all the fuses.

I have replaced the 12V battery.

What else should I do?

It's your lucky day: we've all been struggling with this (and variations) for years, and a recall/update was issued literally today.

In addition to igb’s suggestion, if the dealer is saying there are no error codes, plug in an OBD reader and check yourself. That doesn’t sound right if the dash is lighting up with a warning.

I’m surprised the dealer is just putting their hands up and asking you to deal with it. Don’t let them do that, it’s their responsibility to find out what’s wrong instead of telling you to drive a car with a live amber warning.

I'm clueless. I've had a Snap-on Solus Edge scanner with the car the whole weekend. I couldn't find where this internal error light was emanating from. I couldn't find any deviations. I manually reset every internal ECU. But the car is still not detecting an error.

Fast charging, slow charging. Everything works.

Translation of the screenshot:

"power system indicator light.
this indicates that there is a problem with the vehicle's electrical system or plug-in charging system. have these parts checked by your dealer"

Many thanks for this, I've just asked the dealer to do the update before I pick mine up on Friday.

My problem isn't related to the charger. It's always there.

Gong-gong-gong. All along the road. It only stops when I turn the power off.

So your dealer doesn't have a solution, but are they doing anything to try to find a solution, like contacting Honda directly.

What exactly did they tell you: "Can't explain it, but it looks fine, OK bye"?

@Honda88: That's my dealer too! And they just sent you away like that? Strange, the real Honda people have all left there by now, there are nice people though, but only understand Hyundai. Such a shame, was so happy with them. I also had such a notification once, but fortunately it went away on its own. Luckely. Did you perhaps charge at Tesla, that's something the e (without the software update that is apparently there now) can not handle. Ask the dealer if they can't do the software update, maybe then the notification will disappear.
