Hi all,
Recently picked up an E Advance in white. I was very lucky as it came with the official Honda armrest!
I’ve managed to get the app working and currently on the 1 month free trial. Debating whether to continue the subscription as the app is so slow. It’s nice being able to see the charge and preheat from it but I know you can also trigger this function via the fob.
Really loving the car around the city but have encountered an issue with door handles which is what led me to the forum so will post in the appropriate thread but thought I would say hello first!
Cheers,
mas
Hello from Scotland!
Hello and welcome, congratulations on your new E!
The app usually takes 10-15 seconds to trigger an action for me. Often I will be walking or travelling somewhere outside of the fob's reach and later wanting to activate the climate control to finish cycling by the time I arrive back to the car. Equally if I've left a window open or there's unusual activity around the car I get a notification. The location tracking the app provides could also be useful for insurance purposes, it depends on the particular insurer whether it classifies as a proper tracking device but it might reduce your premiums and pay for itself. Remote unlocking to let someone into the car if I have the fob but am not present is also helpful in a pinch.
I don't think the app should be paid, but these functions work reliably for me. £5 a month is a low cost and I'm happy to pay it personally. I prefer there was an option to pay annually for a lower cost but no such thing sadly.
