I think I need some help here.

Lately, I've noticed that whenever I release the brake pedal, or when the car starts moving, I hear a clicking sound. It seems like the car is trying to lock something. I tried pressing the lock and unlock buttons from the driver's side, but it didn't sound like that.

My best guess is that it's not related to the doors but rather the latch or lock in the boot. Do you have any advice on how I can further investigate this issue?

Thanks!

Maybe make a video of it, post it on youtube and drop us a link here.
There is definitely an auto-locking mechanism that locks the doors when you start moving (not sure if it does it for reverse).

You can also try locking the doors before you take it out of park, then drive away and see what happens.

Hi, Exactly same problem, did you figure it out? Does your door handle still work and retract? Mines been problematic recently. think it’s a relay behind the dash trying to lock the door or something like that when you’re moving?

My passenger handle has stopped popping out and I heard the noise from the dash. Solved for me by making sure the handle is flush with the body.

Of the passenger door is used then when it’s closed sometimes the handle dose not retract fully. Push it flush and the noise stops.

Now I just have to fix the handle by looking at the very helpful thread on this forum.
