I like to wait, save and make what I believe to be a good purchase than make many worse gradual purchases that end up costing way more in the long run…
The E not being my perfect car was what satisfied most of my needs and I still think was a good choice, Honda is the thing that I'm not very fond of :lol: their support is a joke (at least here) and It sure seems they are not ready to be a global brand... they are at least trying and I'll give them the benefit of doubt being their first EV. Toyota seems in denial right now and they are big so... :roll:

The 2020 numbers are finally available. In the Netherlands 356.051 cars were sold in 2020. Which is about 100.000 less than expected (...Covid). Of those 356.051, 73.057 were BEV's and is a market share of 20,5%. Which is more than expected.

Honda has only sold 1.255 cars in 2020.
The distribution is as follows:
Jazz -> 561
HR-V -> 223
CR-V -> 206
Civic -> 154
e -> 111

The Mazda MX-30, which has the same Panasonic battery pack, sold 977 cars (Mazda in total 7105). The Mazda MX-30 First Edition costs € 33.100,- with roughly the same standard options as the Honde e Advance, which costs € 38.330,- here. The Mazda is not practical at all, you can hardly sit in the back, and the range is no better than the Honda. Another competitor is the Mini Electric, which has been sold 1.191 times (costs € 35.170,- for a basic version). Mini sold a total of 6.286 cars. The range of the Mini is better, because it is a lot more economical, but options are very, very expensive.

The problem, in my opinion, is that the Honda e is still far too expensive here in The Netherlands and beyond... I'm super satisfied and couldn't live without it, but if they want to sell some more e's, the price really has to go down.

Of course it is nice to drive around in an exclusive car, but I am afraid that if Honda stops selling, they will disappear from the European market. :?

If the price goes down in an attempt to sell more of the e it won't be good for us early adopters, depreciation will be significant!😟

Of course you are quite right about that, and I also hope that they will not. We wait and see what 2021 will bring, right?

The prices has actually increased here in Norway. From 294.900 iirc to 300.500 NOK. 307.500 NOK incl color option.

Don’t think this has anything to do with increased taxes/registration fees, but fellow Norwegians please correct me if I’m wrong.

Here in Denmark I’m not sure what a new one would cost you, but you can definitely get them cheaper now (I assume ex demos). I paid 309.000dkk back in September and you can get it for 259.000dkk now with 3.000kms on it.

It’s not depreciating well so far :D

Only in the form of lower taxes, but thankfully both on registration and annual.
