Yeah. I'm out of warranty and my dealer hasn't got a slot to take a look for *a month*. So a long time off the road and probably a bill for close to £1000? Meh.
A month? That's just crazy. Parts take about 3 days to get in from Belgium I think, but a whole month with an undriveable car that's just bonkers. Any dealer can do the work, perhaps look somewhere else? I suspect the bill will be north of £1000, hopefully not by much.
If you are out of warranty - worth asking for the old part back!
Good idea! Sadly, no other repair option anywhere near.
It's a month just to get a slot at the dealers for repair; they're fully booked until April in their workshop. But I'm expecting it'll be 1. check car and confirm it's the booster 2. order the part 3. then do the repair. So it's probably going to closer to 2 months on the bus for me I think.
