Outside temperature not changing

thank you for your reply and i understand the approach and true advice.

in 30 minutes I might see also a change of the temperature, however in my other cars the temp changes rather quickly and follows the road / weather conditions. not the case with my Honda.

i've decided to visit the dealer to investigate on this. it will be on 13.05. i'll post here the outcomes / next steps.

Few info here:

• dealer found 2 updates on my late 2022 Honda e:
  - one potentially relevant as it concerned EV/HEV/IMA Battery module -> applied successfully last week;

• I've informed dealer there is a service buletin regarding "Outside temperature not changing" situation:
  - mainly it says if there no DTC then outside temperature sensor might be faulty and advice to remove and check;
  - outside sensor is located under the front bumper and requires its removal -> so not easy procedure;
  - I've asked dealer to check more internally and advice -> no feedback so far.

Currently I'm monitoring the situation and so far:
- it does NOT seem the update fixed the issue;
- sensor seems to be working as it reads well when car is initiated and also provide correct values time to time;
- my guess: situation is still related to software issue and how the car handles the outside temperature sensor modes.

I'll recheck with dealer by end of this week if no reply.

Have you tried disconnecting the 12v? You wont lose any settings...

I know it might sound odd, but do you have another temperature sensor you can use to verify? Just because its sunny, doesn't necessarily mean its any warmer, yet our phones always report the 'feels like' temperature which is always inflated in sunny weather...

Certainly the e doesn't suffer from heatsoak like ICE cars. When parked up after use and in sunny weather, the Civic always has a large temperature rise reported which is not real, and takes a good 10 minutes to drop to the real ambient after driving off at moderate speeds.

Can you get to the front sensor at all? Perhaps pouring cold water over it would be a good way to test if it really is reacting properly or not.

I will double-check with additional temp sensor however the difference is so obvious: eg. 15C on cluster and outside about 25C.

Getting to it is NOT an option for a user like me ... in the service manual the procedure includes removing the front bumper I would like to avoid even at dealer.
Indeed, testing procedure includes getting it in cold water and measuring it, easy after you have it in your hands.

Also, Honda issuing service buletin on the topic means something has been noticed by them or reported by multiple users.
