I’m looking to add a piggyback / tap / add-a-fuse for to discreetly power a couple of USB items but I’m struggling to find a convenient ground point. There is a nut attached to what I assume is the ECU or something similar, close to the fusebox under the dash which is grounded, only the nut won’t come loose with reasonable force.

Has anyone installed a tap fuse and can suggest where they used as a ground point?

Many thanks

Have you solved this? Your post made me move from reading the whole forum to registering. I recently bought an E and I have tapped in the fuse box. Can take a picture of what I used as a ground point if you haven't solved this yet.

Very kind of you to sign up to help with my question! No I have not got round to solving it yet, but also I’ve not spent more time looking but plan to do so soon. Are you able to describe the ground point you used? Many thanks!

Not very close to the fuse box, but works well for me.
