When watching those jap reviews their cars show 208 kms range with 80%+-battery... mine shows 180kms at 95% they saved the best batteries for them XD

So as has been said before.... the JP model has to have a better/bigger battery. Or they will unlock a few % of our battery like jaguar did with i-pace.

Regarding the cruising range, "It is 283km (WLTC) in Japan, and it is said that there are various things about the cruising range, but I think that it is sufficient because it is the best in the city. If it runs further, rapid charging will be faster. It is necessary, and the charging performance at the time of rapid charging is excellent with this new battery, and you can run 202 km in 30 minutes after charging the warning light," he said.

Right now you don't (to the honda but you can to N. Leaf)
I hope to do so in 3/5 years. Energy density is increasing at at fast rate so compacts like this will have 400* kms range in no time (2/3 yrs).

There is no difference in the drivetrain, motor, or battery between the Japanese and European. The Japanese version should be a bit narrower but I do not know from where. The difference is Japanese are basing it on WLTC and Europeans on WLTP. As far as I know WLTC is part of WLTP but I am not an expert. This however can make these calculation differences on paper. In the car the remaining range is calculated by the last 600km drive or so once I read somewhere. So it depends how you drive.
